Mr. Salvagio’s practice includes patent preparation and prosecution, as well as patent portfolio management and intellectual property counseling.
Practice Areas & Background
Mr. Salvagio has prepared and prosecuted hundreds of patent applications in a wide range of technology areas, including: oil and gas, chemical processes, computer architecture, storage devices, network applications, databases, consumer and commercial electronics, user interfaces, and telecommunications.
Prior to joining KLS, Mr. Salvagio was an attorney in several prominent law firms in Texas where he was responsible for drafting patent applications, office action responses, and appeal briefs as well as providing strategic advice and counsel to in house counsel of various corporations.
Before attending law school, Mr. Salvagio worked as an engineering consultant for several companies in Houston and Austin.
Mr. Salvagio received his B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin and his J.D. and Bachelor of Civil Law from Louisiana State University.
