Mr. Biggers is a registered patent attorney with decades of legal experience, as both in-house counsel and outside counsel, handling a variety of intellectual property matters for corporations. Mr. Biggers specializes in providing clients with creative and sophisticated solutions for the development and management of domestic and international patent portfolios.
Mr. Biggers has handled matters across a wide range of industries and technologies, including software, hardware, semiconductor, telecommunications, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical instrumentation, nanotechnology, chemical processes, oil and gas production, process controls, consumer products, financial services, new-media content distribution, government contracts and university technology transfer.
Mr. Biggers was a founding partner of Biggers and Ohanian LLP, an intellectual property boutique specializing in patent development and enforcement. Before that, Mr. Biggers served as General Counsel and Vice President of Dynamic Business Systems, an enterprise software company. Mr. Biggers was responsible for all aspects of the legal functions for Dynamic Business Systems, and provided strategic advice and counsel to senior management and the board of directors. Prior to DBS, Mr. Biggers spent a decade living in the Middle East and Europe serving as Senior Counsel to the Arabian American Oil Company. As Senior Counsel, he was responsible for representing the company in numerous corporate and intellectual property transactional matters. Before that, Mr. Biggers held a federal clerkship with Judge Halbert O. Woodward, Chief Judge, U.S. District Court, Northern District of Texas.
Mr. Biggers received his B.A. from the University of Texas at Austin and his J.D. from Texas Tech University School of Law, where he was a member of The Texas Tech Law Review.
