Ms. Busen focuses her practice on patent portfolio development, including the preparation and prosecution of patent applications.

Practice & Background

Ms. Busen has provided counsel to clients on a variety of intellectual property matters in the technology fields of web-based applications, distributed computing environments, mobile device applications, medical devices, circuit design and fabrication, and computer hardware. 

Prior to joining KLS, Ms. Busen was a patent attorney in several prominent intellectual property law firms.  Ms. Busen was responsible for preparing and prosecuting hundreds of patent applications and providing strategic advice and counsel to in-house counsel of various corporations.

Ms. Busen received her B.S. in electrical engineering from the University of Texas at Dallas and her J.D. from the George Washington University School of Law.
