Brandon Kennedy – Partner

Mr. Kennedy concentrates his practice on the development and enforcement of intellectual property. 

Practice & Background

Mr. Kennedy has represented highly sophisticated corporate clients in a range of intellectual property matters including patent portfolio creation and development, strategic counseling, offensive and defensive patent analysis and opinions, technology transactions, and patent licensing and litigation. Mr. Kennedy practices in the technology fields of web-based applications, distributed computing environments, mobile device applications, medical devices, circuit design and fabrication, and computer hardware. 

Prior to forming KLS, Mr. Kennedy was a partner at Biggers and Ohanian LLP, an intellectual property boutique specializing in patent development and enforcement.  Before that, Mr. Kennedy was a patent attorney at another prominent intellectual property law firm in Austin.  In both firms, Mr. Kennedy was responsible for preparing and prosecuting hundreds of patent applications and providing strategic advice and counsel to in-house counsel of various corporations.

Mr. Kennedy received his B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Oklahoma Christian University and his J.D. from the University of Oklahoma, where he was the editor-in-chief of Oklahoma Journal of Law and Technology.
